Current recommendations use publicly listed manufacturer/retailer specifications and current published prices. Prices and availability can change. Links below are not affiliate links in this pre-launch build.
Planning guidance, not installation instructions. Heater selection must be checked against the specific manufacturer's approved room-volume range, required clearances, electrical requirements and local code. Saunometry does not replace a licensed electrician, contractor or manufacturer instructions.

How Saunometry calculates traditional heater demand

For preliminary planning, Saunometry starts with finished interior room volume. It then adjusts the effective heated volume for uninsulated heat-storing surfaces. The current calculation follows Harvia's published planning guidance: approximately 1 kW per cubic meter of effective sauna volume; each square meter of glass, stone or similar non-insulated surface adds 1.2 cubic meters; non-insulated log-wall rooms use a 1.5 volume factor.

Those calculations are deliberately used as a planning estimate only. Final equipment selection is always constrained by the selected heater manufacturer's tested room-volume range and installation instructions.

Independent recommendations

Saunometry is an independent sauna planning and selection tool. When merchant links are added, some may pay us a commission. Compensation will not change the inputs or sizing calculations, and commission relationships will be disclosed next to recommendations.
